One win closer to the Finals for the Falcons
The Adamson Soaring Falcons defied the odds and pulled off a hard-earned victory against last year's runner-up, the NU Bulldogs, 23-25 25-17 25-21 25-22, earlier this afternoon at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Despite the grinding start, the Falcons were able to pick up the pace by the second set. Thanks to the efforts of Dave Pletado who racked up 16 points, alongside Jerome Sarmiento, Team Captain Michael Sudaria and Paolo Pablico who garnered 14, 13, and 11 points respectively.
This pivotal victory extends the Falcons' season and move them one step closer to the Finals.
The San Marcelino-based squad will face off with the Bulldogs once again in a do-or-die match on April 20, Wednesday, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Winner of the said match will go up against defending champions, the ADMU Blue Eagles, on Saturday, April 23, to be held at the same venue.
