Our stand on extrajudicial killings

The country, as of the moment, is in a state of peril. President Rodrigo Duterete’s anti-drug campaign has birthed a bloodbath. As of July 25, there are already 103 cases yet to be investigated. The number is rising and we are not doing anything about it.

We, in The Adamson Chronicle, advocate human rights. We promote the uplifting of human dignity. This all-out war against drugs is anti-poor, illegal, and inhumane. As we type on our keyboards for support of the new Administration, another alleged criminal gets written his own epitaph.

Lest we forget: Article II, Section 11 of the 1987 Constitution of The Republic of the Philippines states “The State values the dignity of every human person and guarantees full respect for human rights."
