UAAP Season 79 Countdown Begins

Members of the University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) board, athletes, and coaches gathered earlier today at the Novotel Conference hall in Cubao, Quezon City for the official press conference of the 79th Season of the UAAP, and University of Santo Tomas as the host school.

The UAAP board of trustees formally announced the addition of Ballroom dancing as one of the sporting events this season. Its debut will be on the opening ceremonies of the UAAP season 79.

Introduced also during the event were the courtside reporters of the UAAP member schools. Stef Monce will be representing Adamson University once more.

Men's Basketball Team Head Coach Franz Pumaren and team captain Dawn Ochea, together with Pape Sarr, Rob Manalang, JD Tungcab, and Jerrick Ahanmisi, attended the event.

The UAAP Season 79 will begin this Saturday, September 3, at Plaza Mayor in University of Santo Tomas.
