UAAP Ballroom Dance Competition

Dance troupes from different UAAP schools participated in the very first UAAP Ballroom Dance Competition earlier this afternoon at the Quadricentennial Pavillion, University of Santo Tomas.

The said competition was introduced as a part of the opening of the 79th Season of the UAAP. The competition was composed of two events: the "American-Latin Event" and the "Standard Ballroom Event". Participants from the University of the Philippines captured the two championship titles, while the host university got the 1st Runner-Up titles for the said events. University of the East and the De La Salle University got 2nd Runner-Up titles respectively.

After the Ballroom Dance Competition, the delegates from different universities gathered at the Arch of Centuries for the formal opening of UAAP Season 79.
