UAAP Season 79 Women's Basketball: AdU vs UP

The Adamson Lady Falcons started their UAAP Season 79 Women's Basketball with a convincing win against the UP Lady Fighting Maroons, 66-61, this morning at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Coach Mike Fermin's debut game as the head coach of the Lady Falcons wasn't an easy one as the San Marcelino squad struggled to maintain an 18 point lead which they slowly lost in third quarter because of the efforts of UP's Ma. Patricia Pesquera and Maan Wong.

The Lady Falcons were able to make a comeback in the fourth quarter after forcing multiple turnovers from their opponent.

Kaye Pingol led the squad with 12 points followed by Jamie Alcoy and Jonalyn Lacson who scored 11 and 10 points respectively.

Coach Fermin's team is going to face the FEU Lady Tamaraws on September 11, Sunday, 8am at the same venue.
