Adamson Lady Falcons demolish the defense of last year's runner-up Ateneo Lady Eagles

Earlier today, the Adamson Lady Falcons outhustled last season's runners-up Ateneo Lady Blue Eagles in a convincing win, 74-62, at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Kaye Pingol led the team with 16 points, followed by Jonalyn Lacson and Jamie Alcoy who scored 15 and 12 points respectively.

Midway through the third canto, the Lady Eagles secured a 3-point lead against the Smaller San Marcelino-based squad. But with Jo Razalo's and Myra Osano's combined efforts, the Lady Falcons pulled off a 14-0 run in the start of the final quarter, giving Adamson a game-high 16-point lead, 65-49.

With only a few minutes remaining, despite the successful attempts of Ateneo's only double-figures scorer Jollina Go to cut the lead, the Lady Falcons soared atop the Lady Eagles, clinching their second victory of the season.

The Adamson Lady Falcons will next face the DLSU Lady Archers on September 24, Saturday, 10am at the Mall of Asia Arena.
