Lady Falcons suffer first loss in bout against FEU

The Adamson Lady Falcons suffered their first defeat at the hands of the FEU Lady Tamaraws, 56-61, last September 11

at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

With the loss, the Lady Falcons now hold a 1-1 win-loss card, while the Lady Tamaraws now have won their first two games.

Despite not scoring in the first half, Kaye Pingol led Adamson with 12 points, while Nathalia Prado also came alive after the halftime and added 12 markers.

As early as the first quarter, Lady Falcons struggled to keep up with Lady Tamaraws with the latter opening the game with a 5-0 run.

Though the first quarter ended with the Lady Tamaraws protecting an 18-12 lead, the Lady Falcons managed to cope and trimmed the FEU's lead to only 1 point, scoring 28-29 before halftime.

Eventually, Adamson, spurred by combined efforts from Pingol and Prado, tied the game at 32 and even led 38-33 midway in the third canto.

However, FEU proved to be composed enough to take back the lead and secure the game as the final buzzer sounded.

The Adamson Lady Falcons will next face the NU Lady Bulldogs at 10am this September 14, at the Mall of Asia Arena.
