Adamson concludes UAAP season, sends DLSU to Finals

The Adamson Men's Basketball Team once again fell victim to the much-bigger DLSU Green Archers,64-69, ending the young Falcons' remarkable UAAP Season 79 campaign, Wednesday night, at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Sean Manganti top-scored Adamson with 13 points while Rob Manalang added 12 markers for the Falcons.

Though the Falcons didn't get the happy ending they were hoping for, Coach Pumaren and his squad were more than happy in what they've achieved.

"Wonderful run for us. Even if we didn't make it all the way, I must say that it was a magical run for us," Coach Pumaren said. "I'm very proud of my boys."

DLSU Head Coach also gave credit to Adamson for its transformation into a contender. "Ang laki ng in-improve. They deserve to be in the Final Four. They played well against us," DLSU Head Coach Aldin Ayo said.

Even with the Archers dominating the paint all day, Adamson showed their own version of "mayhem" defense, forcing DLSU to 26 turnovers and only allowing th

ree assists.

However, being the best three-point shooting in the league, Adamson's shots weren't falling.

The Falcons shot 31.94% from the field but their three-point shooting was even worse at 19.26%.

"We had some good looks but it just wasn't falling," Manalang said. "We just didn't make the shots today."

With the win, the now championship-bound DLSU will be waiting for the victor between #2 Ateneo and #3 FEU.
